Henry's Second Week

Enjoying the beautiful weather as a fam!

Sweet squishy face

Meeting Uncle Pete.  Not so sure about this guy.

Happy 70th Birthday to Grandpa Yak on 3/20/12!
Henry's first week of life was such a blissful time of bonding together as a family.  It was wonderful for the three of us to be together and to adjust to our new life together.  The second week was wonderful too, but it presented some bumps in the road.  LJ went back to work which was a transition for me to be at home with Henry by myself during the day.  I'm still getting used to juggling Henry's needs, taking care of myself, and trying to do just the minimum of getting things done at our house (and occasionally sleeping!).
Last weekend I unfortunately got a bit of an infection at the site where my placenta was and ended up going to the ER last Saturday night for some heavy bleeding and a fever.  I took a week's course of antibiotics and am thankfully feeling much better now.  I feel sad that Henry had to be exposed to antibiotics at such a tender age, but I am hopeful that the probiotics I'm taking are neutralizing some of the negative effects of antibiotics.  However, I'm also thankful that I am feeling better so I can take care of sweet Henry!  =)
With Henry's two week "birthday" we experienced some more fussy and challenging days with Henry, but thankfully today he's been a sweet little love bug!
